When her feet continued to trudge to a different direction from her loved ones, Jenny whispered a small wish under her breath: ‘to never see them again.’ Her wish was soon granted, though perhaps not in the way she thought of. Soon enough, she found herself in a car ride to a small town veiled by the algid embrace of rain. Between the endless stream of river and enigmatic fog shrouding the town, it was nothing like her contemporary metropolis. This was supposed to be a fresh start in the new semester, a new chapter in her life, instead, her first month in the area turned to a quick descent to folly. Between navigating through new relationships be it familial or peers and a mountain of college work, she had enough on her plate. So, when she began experiencing unearthly occurrences, she wondered, “Can this get any worse?”

Soon, she’ll grasp that this town was afflicted with more curses than just the rainfall.
